Time:04-11-2023

The common mechanical keyboard layouts include:

ANSI layout: This is the most common keyboard layout used mainly in North America. It has 104 keys, including standard QWERTY letter keys, number keys, F keys, and control keys, among others.

ISO layout: This is a keyboard layout used in Europe and some other regions. It also has 104 keys but with a slightly different layout. The Enter key on the ISO layout is larger than the one on the ANSI layout, and it has an extra key on the left side, commonly used to input backslash and vertical bar.

JIS layout: This is a keyboard layout used in Japan. It is similar to the ANSI and ISO layouts but with some differences. For example, the Enter key on the JIS layout is smaller than the one on the ISO layout, and it has many special Japanese characters on the keyboard.

HHKB layout: This is an abbreviation for Happy Hacking Keyboard, which is a very popular mechanical keyboard layout. It is popular among programmers and typists because of its compact layout, which removes the number pad and directional keys, making it easier to move between the mouse and keyboard.

ErgoDox layout: This is a custom keyboard layout designed with a focus on ergonomics, aimed at reducing wrist pain and other issues that arise from long-term typing. It has two separate keyboard modules, each with many programmable keys.
